Triops Granarius Tadpole Shrimp Starter Kit Ultra
Triops Granarius, also called Japanese Tadpole Shrimp, inhabited not only the rice fields of Asia but also the continents of Europe and Africa. He is considered the most widely-spread Tadpole Shrimp. Compared to other Triops-species, it has only little demands when it comes to temperatures. Temperatures and 22 and 27 ° Celsius are fine with them.
In size, the Triops Granarius can reach up to noteworthy ten centimeters. The realistic norm, however, is with eight centimeters still higher than that of most other Tadpole Shrimp. Its tail is relatively long as compared to its shell, however, it does not only supports them in the stabilization of his body, but also makes him a fast swimmer. Optically,the Triops is decorated with a brown camouflage-like shell. The color of Granarius females is slightly lighter than that of males.
A special feature of this Triops-species is their gonochorism. This means nothing more than that both sexes are needed to produce a Triops-egg able to hatch. The females bury the unfertilized Triops-eggs in the sand and the male then fertilize them. Only after the fertilization through the males become these Granarius Triops-eggs capable of hatching. Non-fertilized eggs are worthless.
