The rapid growth is particularly enabled by by the warm temperature, among others. Once they are around two weeks old, they produce their first cysts, the so-called Triops-eggs. The Triops Australiensis Queensland is not only one of the fastest swimmers among the Triops, but also one of the largest species. With a realistic size of seven centimeters, it exhibits an impressive stature. Its long tail and its silver-shimmering shell also add to making it a real eye-catcher.
