Everyone desiring to keep Fairy shrimp in their aquarium makes a perfect choice by opting for Streptocephalus sealii. It is very easy to breed this Fairy shrimp species and they are fun for the whole family. You will need a breeding tank, water, a lamp and appropriate temperatures. After about 48 hours, the first bunch of tiny Fairy shrimp nauplii will hatch. If it takes a little longer, there is no reason to be concerned. Fairy shrimp can hatch for up to two weeks. Since they are freshwater animals, there no need for adding salt as is necessary for Artemia. This also enables an easier breeding, also for children.

Therefore, they are gifted in being able to make incredibly fast movement in the water, in order to escape their attackers. Streptocephalus sealii are very frugal animals. They do not place any high demands on water quality or food. They can live off algae during their whole life. Our 100% Spirulina Algae is perfectly suitable.
