Triops Cancriformis Tadpole Shrimp Starter Kit Plus
Originating from Europe, the Triops Cancriformis is said to be the oldest living animal on our planet. As they already reside in Central Europe for millions of years, they are very modest in terms of required temperatures.
As a consequence, we can keep the Triops Cancriformis easily in the tank at a temperature of around 22 °C. Due to those low temperatures, the Cancriformis in fact grows more slowly than do other Triops-species. In turn, however, they often live a little longer.
The Cancri, as they are affectionately called by their fans, are visual eye-catcher due to their striped shell. Taking a closer look at her tail, one notices that this is actually rather short as compared to the shell. Triops Cancriformis are no agile and very lively swimmers but instead focus more on digging in the sand. These peaceful Dino Shrimp love to spend hours and hours rootling.
After a lifetime of about three weeks, they begin burying their Triops-eggs in the sand. You will then have the opportunity to create new life from these Cancriformis-eggs. How to do this, we show you here: how to properly prepare of Triops-eggs
The European Tadpole Shrimp will soon leave you and your family under its spell.
